A Client “device” connects to the CloudPOS and displays the POS for use by operators.
Each device must be AUTHORISED for access and must use a secure token for authentication, without which, CloudPOS access is unavailable. you can use the following guide to AUTHORISE your devices: http://wiki.imagatec.com.au/doku.php?id=customer_portal:guides:cloud_pos_setup
The “Pocket POS” option is best utilised by driveway and wash staff, providing an interface that is designed for efficiently adding washes and tracking wash services through to completion. This is suited for mobile devices, such as mobile phones.
The “Wash POS” option is best utilised by cafe and retail staff, providing an interface that is designed for cash sales and wash payments. This is better suited for larger devices, such as tablets and POS terminals.

If you already own an Epson docket printer with an ethernet interface, local printing support is as easy as adding an Imagatec PiPOS Print Server to your local network. The PiPOS Print Server is provided pre-configured to send prints from your client device to your printer.
If you own an Epson docket printer but it does not have an ethernet interface, contact Imagatec to see if an ethernet interface is available for your Epson printer model. If one is, then as above, an Imagatec PiPOS Print Server will add support for local printing.
If you do not own a docket printer, or an ethernet interface is not available for your Epson printer model, then the following options are available:
Imagatec's PiPOS Print Server was developed to allow customers to continue to use existing Epson ethernet printers. Limiting the need to purchase new printers when moving to the iWash CloudPOS.
It gets connected directly to the modem at the store, and communicates between the client and the printer at the store.
A single PiPOS Print Server is all that is needed per site, and can communicate with any number of receipt and docket printers at the store, allowing customisation of where a docket or receipt should be printed.
When the print button is clicked on the client, the PiPOS Print Server tells the correct printer what to print.
The biggest differences between bluetooth and ethernet docket printers comes down to two things:
If you have more than 1 client device that needs to print to the docket printer, then Bluetooth is not for you, as a bluetooth printer will only work with the single mobile phone or iPad it is paired to.
On the flip side, if you do not have access to a local network connection with Internet access at your store, then you will need to use a Bluetooth printer, and if you have more than 1 client device that needs to print to the docket printer, you will need to purchase a bluetooth docket printer for each client device.
To be able to print to a ethernet docket printer, a local network connection with Internet access is required and the client and the printer (and if used, the PiPOS Print Server) must all be connected to this local network.
For a site that has driveway staff to greet customers, setup the wash, and print a wash docket, an external wireless access point is recommended, as it will provide better wireless network coverage and allow outside CloudPOS clients to easily connect back to the local network connection.
If driveway staff do not print anything, and all dockets and receipts will be printed from a client device or client terminal inside the store, the outside clients can connect directly to the iWash CloudPOS using their mobile data (3G/4G), and the client device or client terminal inside the store can connect to the store's modem.
Please note: Network cabling is not a service provided by Imagatec and will need to be sought from a licenced cabler or electrician in your area.
