The iPOS system has been fully installed on your hardware prior to delivery. The Hardware has been installed and the purpose of this module is to familiarize yourself with the hardware and its use and care.
Connect all cables to the Javelin from underneath the unit. Do not attempt to pass the cables through the holes in the back as this is not necessary. The feet on the unit stand high enough for the cable to pass under, also if a hole is cut in the bench the unit can cover the hole and the cables.
Connect the POWER CABLE to the Javelin.
Connect the Cash Drawer cable in the hole marked CD1 (bottom one)
Connect the Modem into either of the USB ports on the rear
Connect the other end of the Modem to the phone line
Connect the Keyboard and Mouse into either of the USB ports on the front (under the flap)
To Start the Computer - Find the power switch under the front flap of the javelin. It is a rocker switch which only need to be briefly rocked to the right to turn the unit on, (it will spring back).
Once started the computer does not have to be turned off each night. In fact Imagatec will complete maintenance tasks on your system outside of trading hours, so it is important that you leave the computer on as much as possible.
When to turn the computer off:
It is rare that you will ever need to turn the computer off
