===== Making a web app with Chrome and Edge ===== === Chrome === - Open the URL that you are wanting to make into a web app. - Click on the 3 dots at the top right, Go to more tools and click on Create Shortcut… {{:customer_portal:guides:web_app_win_10_wiki_-_1.png|}}{{:customer_portal:guides:web_app_win_10_wiki_-_2.png|}} - A Create Shortcut? Menu will open here you can name the Shortcut and also tick the Open as window option. (If it is the only tab in the window it will also open a new tab for the window) - That’s it! A Desktop Icon and a Start menu Icon will be created and you will be able to pin the shortcut to the Task bar. {{:customer_portal:guides:web_app_win_10_wiki_-_4.png|}} === Edge === - Have the page you want to turn into a web app open and click on the 3 dots in the top right. {{:customer_portal:guides:web_app_win_10_wiki_-_5.png|}} - Go to apps and click on Install this site as an app {{:customer_portal:guides:web_app_win_10_wiki_-_8.png|}} - A menu will open where you can name the app, after that hit install {{:customer_portal:guides:web_app_win_10_wiki_-_6.png|}} - After that the Tab will close (If it is the only tab in the window it will also open a new tab for the window). Make sure that Pin to Taskbar and Create a Desktop Shortcut is selected. Optional.
